I use Crescent Garden containers because they come in a variety of styles and colors, so I can change up the look of my porch each season or whenever a new mood strikes. They are also functional. The colors don’t fade and the materials hold up in all weather conditions.

If you want to create a fun, party atmosphere, go with a festive container like Eye Am from the Barcelona Collection. It’s modern, funky, and sure to be a conversation piece. The opening is in an elliptical shape, like that of an eye. Get it? Here we used the Citron version and filled it with purple hyacinths and chartreuse lettuce for beautiful spring color.

Eye Planter Entry

For fun, modern containers with a more streamlined design, I love the Madison Collection. The planters come in so many colors. Again, we went for a bright, cheerful option here with Wasabi and also used hyacinths and lettuce. These planters are lightweight, so you can move them around and easily arrange them into different setups.

Madison Planter Wassabi

On this porch, we combined a traditional color palette with contemporary elements from the containers. The Origami planter in the back is filled with cheerful burgundy tulips. The planter’s design is inspired by the art of paper folding, most associated with Japanese culture. We chose Silt, as the color complements the wood tones and siding on the porch. I love that the plants’ foliage mirrors the green chair. To me, this porch design says, “Come on over. Let’s sit down and chat for a while.”
